East Perry Community Fair Canceled for 2020
The Board of Directors of the East Perry Community Fair has cancelled the 2020 fair scheduled for September 25 and 26.
Because of the high costs that are involved to provide traffic control, parking, transportation, sanitation, security and medical services for our fairgoers, a large crowd is required to enable the fair to have the financial resources to put on the event each year.
Some fair-related events may be held on other dates this fall by various departments with limited crowds and using social distancing guidelines. The individual departments will notify the people involved of those events.
The East Perry Community Fair was first held in 1937 and has been held every year since then with the exception of 1942 through 1945 during World War II in compliance with government requests to conserve resources. Just as it was done at that time, the fair feels that it is in the best interest of everyone not to hold a fair in 2020.
The “Best Little Fair in the Land” looks forward with hope to the future and expects to again welcome everyone to our fairgrounds on September 24 and 25, 2021. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
