Cape Girardeau County Rotary Partners with Food Bank to Hold Saturday, Oct. 31, Distribution in Cape

Cape Girardeau County Rotary will host a mobile food pantry distribution in partnership
with Southeast Missouri Food Bank. The distribution will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct.
31, in front of Catholic Social Ministries, 134 South Sprigg.
“We know the pandemic has changed the job status for a lot of people in our
community. They’re struggling, and Cape Girardeau County Rotary members wanted to
do something to help,” said Ellen Odden, President of Cape Girardeau County Rotary.
This mobile food pantry was made possible through a Community Assistance Program
(CAP) Grant awarded to Cape Girardeau County Rotary. CAP Grants provide an
opportunity for Rotary Clubs to use Rotary Foundation District Designated Funds to
undertake projects in local communities as a way of furthering Rotary’s objectives.
People participating in the mobile should be residents of Cape County and bring a photo
ID or piece of mail that shows proof of residence. They will receive one box per
household.
